How It Works

How AdCheck Works

STEP 1

Submit Ad for Checking

Advert accepted via AdCheck Vault application. Multiple adverts/campaigns can be submitted simultaneously.
STEP 2

Expert Assessment

Applicants receive a timely assessment.
STEP 3

Compliance Guidance

Where practicable, the AdCheck team will provide advice to help address any compliance issues. If not capable of being made compliant, AdCheck will close the application (there will be no “rejected” applications).
STEP 4

Verification issued

If your advert is considered compliant, a unique AdCheck number will be issued. This number can be put into the advert so other stakeholders are aware it has been reviewed by AdCheck.

Submission

Applicant submits online via the AdCheck website.

Applicants can submit a campaign of multiple adverts for the same product/product range at the same time, for any medium.

Invoicing

AdCheck will confirm the cost of the application and an invoice will be emailed to the applicant.

Payment is due within 30 days and can be made via credit card or EFT.

Review and Advice

AdCheck reviews the advert(s) for compliance with the TGAC and related instruments.

If the advert is not considered compliant, AdCheck will provide feedback and advice on how to make it compliant.

If the advert is not capable of being made compliant, AdCheck will close the application (there will be no “rejected” applications).

Certificate of Conformance

If the advert(s) is considered compliant, AdCheck will issue a Certificate of Conformance with a unique AdCheck number.

This number can be put into the advert so that other stakeholders are aware it has been reviewed by AdCheck.

The unique AdCheck number can also be verified by external parties via a request through the AdCheck website.

Variations

Applications for any future variations to adverts already reviewed by AdCheck can be submitted via the AdCheck Vault application and are priced at 50% of a new advert.

Archiving

The application is ‘closed’ in the system but remains archived for 5 years. The adverts will be retrievable via the unique AdCheck number.

AdCheck decisions are based on the version of the TGAC and related instruments prevailing at the time the Certificate of Conformance was issued. AdCheck will make every effort to inform applicants of changes to the instruments, but it remains the responsibility of the applicant to monitor any regulatory changes (e.g. TGAC revisions) that may impact the continued compliance of the advert with the TGAC.
