CHP Australia thanks Glenys Beauchamp PSM for her service and commitment

Consumer Healthcare Products (CHP) Australia today acknowledges and thanks Ms Glenys Beauchamp PSM for her distinguished service to the Australian people and in particular, the commitment she exhibited in her role as Health Department Secretary to improving the health and welfare of Australians.

CHP Australia CEO, Dr Deon Schoombie, said, “Under Ms Beauchamp’s leadership, we have been able to collaboratively and productively navigate through the most extensive medicines regulation reforms in a generation with the TGA. Her 21yrs of commitment to the public service, and improving the lives of the Australian people should be commended.”

CHP Australia also welcomes the nomination of current Chief Medical Officer, Professor Brendan Murphy, to replace Ms Beauchamp as Secretary of the Department of Health.

“CHP Australia looks forward to continuing our productive with the Department of Health under Prof Murphy’s leadership.”

“We are particularly eager to work with Prof Murphy on the National Medicines Policy Review, and improving individuals health outcomes through empowering responsible self-care."
