Mediation Process

When an alleged breach of the Code of Practice arises but where direct negotiation between the parties fails, Members are encouraged to seek to resolve their differences by mediation, irrespective of the nature of the dispute.

Mediation is a "without prejudice", voluntary and private dispute resolution process, in which a neutral person (the mediator) helps the parties to reach a negotiated agreement. It is also as confidential as the law will allow. Mediation may occur prior to or simultaneously with Complaints Panel proceedings, arbitration or litigation.

The Mediation Panel was selected both for their expertise as mediators and for their long experience in the therapeutic goods industry.  For a list of current mediators, contact the team on (02) 9922 5111 or
