1. You will now have the option to select "Expedited" when you submit an application. When you do this, you will need to agree to the higher price for expedited reviews, which is twice the normal fee. Expedited reviews will receive a first response within 4 business hours (business hours are 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and AdCheck office closures, which will be announced in advance). |

2. When submitting a Variation, you will now need to pick the previous AdCheck number from a pick list. You will only be able to select previous applications for your company. |
This will provide the AdCheck reviewers a hyperlink to the previous application so that they can access the supporting documents that were submitted for that application. Only new/revised Supporting Documents will need to be uploaded for Variations. |
3. The options for Media Type have been sorted from most used to least used. |
Workflow improvement. |
4. When submitting a video application, under the Media Type, you will now have to choose between "Video - TV" and "Video - Online/Social Media" |
The Code requirements are the same for all media types, including videos. However, the way these requirements are executed can differ, and this is particularly true for online media, which can be viewed on very small screens. In particular, this can mean a difference in how the mandatory statements are displayed. This enhancement makes it easier for the AdCheck reviewers to ensure that your assets are compliant across all media. |
5. When submitting an application for a "Video - TV" and "Video - Online/Social Media" review, you will receive a reminder to attach legible pack shots (not labels) to the video script or storyboard. |
Storyboards often do not provide sufficient resolution to adequately review the content of the pack shot, as these are not always exact copies of the label (nor do they need to be). Having a legible pack shot appended to the script or storyboard enables us to confirm that the pack shot is also compliant with the Code requirements. |
6. When you upload Advertising Assets, you will be required to populate a new mandatory field called Dimensions/Duration. |
The dimensions of a print or outdoor, or static online advert, and the duration of a video advert, are relevant when making decisions about the prominence of the mandatory statements and other required information. Often, this is the only missing information on an otherwise compliant asset. Obtaining this information upfront will save time for both applicant and reviewers. |
7. When you upload Advertising Assets or Supporting Documents, you will no longer need to fill in the Country field (it will not be visible). |
AdCheck only operates in Australia, so the inclusion of this field was superfluous. |
8. We have added a TGAC Reviewer Comments field which will be visible on the application page and will also appear in the email you receive when your application status is changed to "Revise and Resubmit." |
We will use this field when the application is incomplete (for example, Supporting Document are missing). Previously the only place we could add such comments was on the Advertising Assets, which was not appropriate as the comment applied to the application, not the asset. |
